De Standaard is one of Belgium’s most authoritative newspapers. As part of its “Walloon Champions” series, journalist Ruben Mooijman visited our production facility in Nivelles.

Filame was founded in 1999 in Forest, in the Brussels Capital Region, in a small workshop. Over the decades, the company grew through organic expansion and acquisitions — integrating established specialist workshops such as Fabriressort (founded in 1930) and Evinox (over 50 years of expertise) — before moving in 2007 to a modern industrial park in Nivelles. Today, the group combines decades of heritage with advanced engineering in precision metalworking.
