Industrial CNC Sheet Metal Bending & Precision Forming

Trumpf TruBend multi-axis CNC press brakes up to 230 tons and 3 meters for high-precision industrial sheet metal forming.

The Filame Group provides high-precision industrial CNC bending using multi-axis Trumpf TruBend press brakes. We form custom sheet metal parts in steel, stainless steel, aluminium, and copper from prototypes to high-volume production, backed by optical angle monitoring and active springback compensation.

Industrial bending is a decisive manufacturing phase in precision sheet metal fabrication and mechanical assemblies. Equipped with modern multi-axis CNC press brakes up to 230 tons and 3,000 mm bed capacity, Filame guarantees reliable angular precision and consistent repeatability across diverse alloy grades.

Active Springback Compensation & Optical Laser Control

Sheet metal alloys exhibit distinct plastic deformation and elastic recovery. To eliminate angle discrepancies caused by rolling direction or raw sheet thickness tolerances, our press brakes feature:

  • Automatically Controlled Bending (ACB Laser): In-process optical angle measurement corrects ram stroke dynamically, ensuring tolerance compliance from the very first part.
  • Hydraulic CNC Dynamic Crowning: Real-time bed deflection compensation ensures consistent bend angles across the entire 3-meter working length.
  • Specialized Tooling & Protective Films: Comprehensive inventory of hardened V-dies, goose-neck punches, and non-marking synthetic inserts for brushed stainless and aesthetic aluminum.

Processed Materials & Thickness Ranges

  • Carbon & Structural Steels (S235, S355, DC01): 0.5 mm to 12 mm.
  • Austenitic & High-Strength Stainless Steels (1.4301 / 304, 1.4404 / 316L, 1.4310): 0.5 mm to 8 mm with dedicated contamination-free tooling.
  • Aluminium & Light Alloys (5000 & 6000 series): 0.5 mm to 15 mm with strict bend radius calculation to prevent micro-cracking.
  • Copper & Brass: High-conductivity busbars and electrical connector enclosures.

CNC Bending Technical Capabilities

  • Maximum Press Force: Up to 230 metric tons
  • Maximum Bending Length: 3,000 mm (3 meters)
  • Material Thickness: Mild steel 0.5 mm to 12 mm, Stainless steel 0.5 mm to 8 mm, Aluminium 0.5 mm to 15 mm
  • Machinery: Trumpf TruBend CNC press brakes with ACB laser angle measurement and dynamic crowning
  • Tolerances: ± 0.25° angular accuracy and ± 0.1 mm linear precision

Questions & Answers

01 How does Filame maintain tight bend angle tolerances on stainless steel and aluminum ?
Our Trumpf TruBend CNC press brakes feature ACB (Automatically Controlled Bending) laser measurement systems. Non-contact optical sensors measure real-time springback and angle deflection during the bending stroke, automatically compensating for material hardness variations.
02 What is Filame's maximum sheet metal bending length and press capacity ?
Our machine park includes hydraulic and electric CNC press brakes up to 230 tons and 3,000 mm bed length, allowing us to form small precision electronics brackets as well as large heavy machinery enclosures.
03 Can CNC bending be combined with laser cutting, welding, and surface finishing ?
Yes. Filame provides a fully integrated contract manufacturing workflow: 2D laser cutting, CNC bending, TIG/MIG welding & assembly, and surface treatments certified under ISO 9001.
04 Which CAD file formats are accepted for sheet metal bending quotes ?
We directly import native 3D CAD files in STEP (.step, .stp), IGES (.igs), and Parasolid (.x_t) formats, as well as 2D flat patterns in DXF and DWG for rapid feasibility checks and quotation via our contact inquiry form.
